First Visit

What should I bring and what suitable clothing should I wear to the gym?

You should bring a small sweat towel and a water bottle. Filtered water is available at the club, so you can bring an empty water bottle and fill it up at one of the water fountains or a selection of refreshments are available to purchase from reception.

Comfortable clothing should be worn (wear light, breathable clothes that have been designed for physical activity and that you can move in), no jeans allowed. Wear only closed shoes such as cross-trainers or running shoes.

 

If I forget my swim shorts, towel, water bottle etc is there anywhere I can buy new ones?

A selection of merchandise is available from reception. This includes a variety of swim wear, goggles, water bottles, rucksacks, towels, headphones, socks etc.

 

Do I get an induction?

Yes. All new members go through our Healthkick programme which involves a three 30 minute sessions with a Personal Trainer.

 

The Facilities

Is the pool water safe and is the water hot or cold?

Our swimming pool and spa is sanitised with chlorine and UV. The chemical levels are tightly managed and recorded frequently. Our pool is heated at a temperature of 29oc.


Can I listen to music while I'm exercising?

Music is played throughout the gym but you can also chose from 12 channels on the television while using some of the cardio equipment by plugging your earphones into the audio jack.


Why is there a 20-minute time limit on some
of the cardio equipment?

Some cardio machines such as treadmills have a time limit of 20 minutes to cater fairly for all members at any given time, especially during peak hours.

 

Do I need to bring my own towels to gym?

You should always bring a small sweat towel that you can use while exercising. Bath towels are available to Platinum card holders.

 

Do I have to pay extra to attend classes?

No. All of our classes included in your membership.

 

Do I have to book for classes?

All classes can be booked up to 6 days in advance. This is specifically recommended for classes such as Keiserkick and Yoga as they are very popular. You may book at reception or at the gym desk.

Do I receive discounts in the beauty department?

Platinum card holders receive 15% and Club card holders receive 10% discount off all individual treatments. To book treatments please contact reception. Click here to see more Members Benefits

 

Is there anywhere I can purchase drinks and snacks?
